Fast almond speculoos from the sheet metal

Is that to be believed? Today is the 1st of Advent. In 3 weeks is Christmas. And in 4 weeks the year is over again. High time to start baking cookies! Just in time for the first Advent I have today so the baking things together and baked loose. You know, I have to go fast and be tasty. That's why I'm getting into Advent with this great recipe for quick almond speculoos from the tin !

The Grinch and the Christmas cookies

Roll out, cut out, press into little molds, decorate - that's all not so much when it comes to baking cookies. Elaborate Christmas cookies and biscuits are simply no fun. I'm a bit of the Grinch when it comes to Christmas anyway. We do not really celebrate the festival, I do not like all this commercialization and I do not like mulled wine. And even less, I like to stand with cold feet in crowds at the Christmas market. So. Enough complained. I prefer to stay at home on the couch with a hot coffee and delicious almond speculoos and watch vampire shows instead of Christmas classics.

Quick almond Speculoos

Before I infect you with my Christmas dislike, I prefer to leave you the delicious recipe for the fast speculum here. You certainly know spice-speculaas, almond-speculaas and also butter-speculaas. Well, what can I say, with me you will find all three variants in a pastry ... I use a ready-made speculum spice mixture, but you can of course also put them together yourself. Cardamom, clove and cinnamon should not be missing! I bake it as always with butter and the almonds are found once in ground form in the dough and also as almonds on the pastry directly. Three birds with one stone and all the goodies in one place!

Without forms and not quite classic, but quick and easy!

My speculum is completely without forms. I found the idea for the lightning speculum in an old cooking magazine and modified it for myself. After cooling, sweeten the shortcrust paste directly onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Here you can cut the dough directly into shape, so it can solve later fine. Cream and almonds on and off in the oven. The scent is already a dream and the finished almond speculoos scary delicious and spicy. Just the thing in bad weather and for cold days at home.EL Specula spice
